HAWAII BIG ISLAND 2016 : Waimea-Wai'po Valley

By Cathy H - 8:08 PM

I had no idea which side of this island the valley was on or what was happening with the weather. It's very strange in Big Island because it is continuously sunny on Kona while it's chilly and rainy on Hilo (the opposite side) so by the time we drove to see the sights, it was pouring hard. However, it still made for some nice pictures and the elevation of Hawaii is pretty crazy. When looking down, it seems like a new planet. Compared to Honolulu, this island definitely has a more authentic feel and more natural sites for exploration. The sunsets here were some of the best I've seen in my life.
