BALI 2015: Tegallalang Rice Terraces & Bali Pulina Agro Tourism (Luwak Coffee)

By Cathy H - 10:07 PM

What's a visit to Ubud without seeing its world famous rice terraces? The views look almost unreal in person, so much luscious green constrasted against the blue sky. We visited Bali Pulina which is a Luwak coffee plantation with a nice cafe and observation deck overlooking rice terraces and forests. The Luwak coffee is from the civet fox that eats coffee cherries but doesn't digest them, and the locals take their poo and make it into coffee! It's one of the most expensive coffee beans in the world, at $88 for a decent sized bag. Anyway, we enjoyed a tour of that as well as getting to sample some Luwak coffee for ourselves and spending ages overlooking the amazing scenery from the observation deck. Definitely a must-visit!
